Seaside towns, especially on America's East Coast, are renowned for their boardwalks. Of course Coney Island is the most famous. Atlantic City is not far behind. But there are others, especially along the "Jersey Shore." Asbury Park is among the most popular. But for amusements and food concessions, Seaside Heights is a special destination. Especially after Labor Day. It sits in a kind of suspended animation, waiting for the warmer weather and the return of the din of beachgoers. This is the time of year I like the best.
