There are lots of skylines, lots of cities with taller buildings, but to my eye the skyline of New York City is incomparable. It was the first. Its silhouette remains the standard by which all other cities are measured.
I am in awe of Manhattan.
Most images were shot from New Jersey, from atop Eagle Rock Reservation in West Orange, Weehawken, Hoboken, and Liberty State Park in Jersey City. One picture was taken from Atlantic Highlands, the scope of which includes Sandy Hook (NJ), Brooklyn and Manhattan. West-looking photos were taken from the Brooklyn-side of New York's East River as well as from Roosevelt Island.
