"Street" is a term generally used to refer to candid photography. Pictures taken in public. Sometimes with permission, but often not. It's akin to documentary photography, although not necessarily with the intent to record particular events. Instead, it's about capturing moments. And telling stories. Sometimes it's the look in a person's eye. Or the expression on her face. Or the way his body relates to the surroundings.
For me, shooting "street" is the one aspect of photography which I find the most compelling. Because it's personal. These are the pictures I keep coming back to. The ones that keep calling out to me. Simply put, I have a relationship with these photographs. And the people in them. And the stories they tell.
Below are among my favorites. What stories do they hold for you?
